Weekend
This weekend was just not long enough. Then Sunday I get a phone call from someone I work with that wanted to switch days with me. Generaly not a big deal but not this week. I get Friday off and then go into a 6 day work week because of this girl. She has been here less than 90 days and goes and buys plane tickets without getting the time off approved first. Hello McFly, if you have a job you need to make sure you can get the time off before you buy the tickets. So she was supposed to work this weekend but because my supervisor is such a nice person and I can always use 8 hours of overtime, I am working Saturday through Thursday. So the day she wanted to switch was her shift on Friday for my shift tonight. Which would have put me working a lot of days in a row. I told her I couldn't. Now I have guilt.

Drunkeness
I am not one of those go out and save the world kind of people. I do what I can when I can. So I found this commercial. I can't, for some reason, stop watching it except for the fact that the flowers are drunk off of too much water is to damn funny. Go here all of you and watch it and laugh with me. It is even better that it is a Denver water conservation commercial.

Complete
It is now officially over. The Harry Potter series is now complete. All seven books and been published. Most of the fans have read the last book at least once. Ofcouse probably some of them have read it at least twice by now. I am in once category. I can say that the book itself in it entirety was AWESOME. Though it had it characteristic Harry Potter moments (I won't say what I feel they are just in case you are still reading) it was still missing something. I've been finished with the book for almost 3 days now. Yet I still haven't figured out what I didn't like about the book. Maybe it is that J.K. didn't fulfill all the promises she made her fans. Maybe it was the slow moving part followed buy so much action it took a lil to process what just happened. All in all I enjoyed the book. It was a great finish to the series. Left some room for Potterites out there to still have fun and wonder what happened to Harry after the battle. Also the information we gained on Dumbledore was amazing. This book tied up a lot of the questions and loose end. All in all Great read!!!!

Drive In
I saw the Harry Potter movie this weekend at the drive in. It so ROCKED!!! Though it was missing some stuff that I wish would have been there. I also understand that they this movie was made from the largest book in the series so some stuff was going to be cut.

I also got to see Nancy Drew and 1408 both of which were also good movies. Though I was a lil disapointed in 1408. I was expecting it to be a lil scarier than it was. Yes is was suspenceful and scary but not quite what I was thinking it was going to be. I have a great time though. would love to go again. Our drive in is one of the very few that still offers a triple feature so nah nah nah nah (me doing that in a sing song lil kid voice)

Mania

















Harry Potter mania has begun!!!! Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix was released today July 11, 2007. I'm so excited. Though I am stuck at work and won't be able to see it till at least this weekend and I don't really see that happening either. I am still excited still the same. Also the last book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows comes out on July 21. I am so there!!!

I have been weighed......

I have been measured and I have not been found wanting. At least according to Critique My Blog. Last week I submitted my blog to be critiqued. Today I got my review. They like me, they really, really like me!!! This is what they thought of my blog:

    This evening John went to take a bath and came running out of the bathroom and told me that one of his toads had gotten out of the tank. He needed me to go in and catch it because he couldn't reach it. I go in and get the toad. I'm thinking how in the hell did he get out of the tank.
    I get John to help me open his bedroom door and take the lid off the tank and notice that we still had two toads in the tank. That was how many was suppose to be in the tank. So I guess the frog we thought had been eaten by the cat or escaped was still alive and living in the house somewhere. My son was so happy. We now have two matching toads. I think the only difference is the size of the spots on there backs. Will have to investigate more in the morning.
