In God We Trust
Got this in an e-mail today and it makes sense thought I would share it with everyone.

WRITE IT ON THE BACK OF YOUR ENVELOPES !
I THINK THIS A GREAT IDEA. I WILL START WRITING THIS ON FRONT OF ALL MY ENVELOPES, TOO!

You may have heard in the news that the Post Office ha s been forced to take down small posters that say:

"IN GOD WE TRUST"
The law, they say, is being violated. Anyway, I heard a proposal on a radio show, that we should all write:

"IN GOD WE TRUST"

on the back of all our mail...after all, that is our national motto, and it's on all the money we use to buy those stamps. I think it is a wonderful idea.
We must take back our nation from all the people who think that anything that offends them should be removed.
If you like this idea, please pass it on. It has been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having:

"'In God We Trust"

on our money and having God in the pledge of Allegiance. Could it be that WE just need to take action and tell the 14% to sit down and shut up?
If you agree, pass this on, if not delete!

Phases

Did anyone get to see the eclipse last night. I got to see some of it. I'm now wishing I would have been home so my kids could have seen it. Granted it was a school night but I think they would have loved to have seen it.

I can recall seeing a solar eclipse but never a lunar one. Let alone a complete one. I can now understand why ancient societies thought this normal activity was something there gods did to punish or warn them. It is aw inspiring. If you did get to see it hope you got to see more of it than I did. I didn't get to see the blood red part of the eclipse because I was at work and had to go outside to view it. Hey maybe next time.

(Video was filmed in Louisiana set to "Stadium Arcadium")

Re-arange
My living room has been struck my the clutter monster for way to long. Stuff that gets used or we do not want to put in the storage unit has taken over my living room. This weekend I have started to kill the clutter monster. We got a new entertainment center so the old one could be used for storage. So far by taming the monster my living room seems to have gotten bigger. I hope it stays that way. Though I doubt it. Next my bedroom has a monster also. That one is the tool monster. Need to find a place to put all of hubbys tools. Uhg that I'm not looking forward to.

What was that again?
Ever have one of those moments that you think, Hey this would make a great blog post? Then later in the day you go to post about it because you have this great blog post that happened to you and you can't remember what is was. So you start to think about what happened that day and you still can't remember what is was that was so blog worthy. You then think, Maybe if you stop thinking about it you will remember because it has worked in the past. You stop thinking about it and you still don't know what it was that you were going to write about. Well that has been my last couple of days. I have stories for you but I can't remember them. I hope I remember what is was cuz it is now starting to drive me crazy.

Rhyming Couplets
A local newspaper (in England) ran a competition asking for a rhyme with the most romantic first line... But the least romantic second line. Here are some of the entries they received.

*********

My feelings for you no words can tell,
Except for maybe " go to hell"

*********

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.
But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head.

*********

Oh loving beauty you float with grace
If only you could hide your face

*********

Kind, intelligent, loving and hot;
This describes everything you are not

*********

I want to feel your sweet embrace
But don't take that paper bag off of your face

*********

I love your smile, your face, and your eyes -Damn, I'm good at telling lies !

*********
I see your face when I am dreaming.
That's why I always wake up screaming

*********
My love, you take my breath away.
What have you stepped in to smell this way

Layout Help
Okay I'll admit when I need help. Well most of the time I will. This is one of those times. I don't have the proper software to do the photo editing I need to do in order to change the pictures on my layout. This layout is one that was created by someone else to use in blogger. I finally have enough knowledge to tackle changing the pictures at the top. The ones in the circles because they are not my children. Yes they are cute but they are not mine. I also want to be able to put the title in with the pictures somehow. Haven't thought that far in advance, just know I would like to. So if there is anyone out there who can either tell me what program would be good for doing this or is willing to do it for me (for free) that would just totally rock!!! Yes I said free I may be able to do something for you in return I just don't have the $$$$ to pay you. Thanks in advance.

Where'd it go

I hate those days at work or home that time just seems to disappear. One minutes you have eight hours to do everything on your list. The next thing you know you have only one minutes to complete the last ninety items on your list. Wish I had a way to stop time when I needed it. Good grief time flies.

Blogger Land Help
My daughter is collecting the state quarters. We have gotten all of the quarter released from the Denver mint thus far. The part we are running into problems with are finding the coins release from the Philly mint. If anyone lives on the East Coast and is willing to help us out let me know. I can send you the list of the quarters we are missing. I am willing to pay the postage and of course pay you for the quarters. Also if you are collecting the quarters I can help you with the Denver minted quarters. Thank You in advance.

Button
Why is it that your children always seem to know what buttons to push and when to push them? Today I got home from work and needed to go get band aids for my daughter. We get to Wal-Mart and get the band aids, and go look for some buttons for her school uniforms and some shoe laces. Spent maybe a total of 20 minutes there and my son runs off or doesn't follow me when we are finished in an area. He just stays there. Then we have to go back and get him or let him catch up to us. Left there totally frustrated with him and still didn't have the buttons we needed. We head over to Hobby Lobby. The story repeats he wanders off, plays on things that aren't supposed to be played with and annoys the hell out of me. We find what we need and get to the checkout. While waiting to checkout he starts playing with everything in line. Tell him to stop and he continues. Finally we pay for our buttons and go home.

I had promised to take them to McDonald's for lunch. So around noon we head out for lunch. Get to McDonald's and start to order and guess what the boy does? Runs off again. We get lunch and he starts to snag some of my fries so I take some of his and he starts yelling at me. I ask him to calm down and get himself under control or his Happy Meal goes in the trash. He stops for a minute and them starts yelling again. Well the Happy Meal ended up in the trash and we headed home.

When we got home he took his afternoon pill, got lunch and got sent to his room. So why do I feel like the bad person here? Why I feel like I did the wrong thing? My daughter was the one apologising for the way he behaved not him. She felt bad about the money waisted on the Happy Meal and that our lunch out was ruined and that we had to go home to eat it.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions? I have no idea how to handle him anymore. I have a 9 year old son with ADHD that I am at wits end with. I feel lost and out of control with him. It seems he is always angry at someone. His sister, me, dad, and even himself.

Stupid People
Why is it that when people travel they loose all of there common sense? Is it that we are too excited about out vacation that we forget common courtesy. Do we forget to read and follow general directions? I don't know what it is about travelers that annoy me the most but I think to night I might have figured it out. Why would you hang anything whether it be a hanger or something else on a fire sprinkler head in your hotel room?

Tonight I had a guest think that it would be a good idea to do just that. That he didn't have enough room in the dresser or in the closet that he needed to hang something on the fire sprinkler. To make it even worse we post signs that state not to do this. That it will break the little piece of glass inside and flood the room. I guess he either didn't believe the sign, didn't read it or didn't care until it happened. His wife also told some other guest that they have done it before and nothing has happened. I guess they like to tempt fate enough that it did happen. Also on ours you have to climb on the bed to hang anything on there. Which to me would be another reason not to do it.

He will have to pay for all of the damages. Out of a 149 room hotel so far we have 10 rooms that definitely have some sort of water damage. Not to mention the rooms that have limited damage that the guest decided to stay in the room for the night instead of moving. Also the room he was in is totaled. Everything in the room is ruined. The bed, the TV, the dresser, everything is damaged. Then to make it worse after we were able to get the fire alarm off he comes down and says that he is leaving. I'm thinking what the hell do you think you are doing leaving. You just caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage to my hotel and then you want to leave. I did let him leave but made sure his information was correct before he was gone. Also we have his credit card. Woo Hoo for us. Lets see him dispute this one!!!

So everyone out there in blog land. When you stay at a hotel please remember to use common sense and if they tell you not to do something there is usually a good reason. Also in movies when those fire sprinklers go off it is nothing like the real thing. The real thing will drench your room in minutes. They pour water everywhere. I guess fire sprinkler is a bad name for it. The should call them fire pours not sprinklers.

Coincedence?
Weird 9/11 facts The end with the font is real,u have to try it!!!!!!!!!!!! do it. 1) New York City has 11 letters
2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.
3) Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters.
4) George W Bush has 11 letters.
5) The two twin towers make an "11"

This could be a mere coincidence, but this gets more interesting:
1) New York is the 11th state.
2) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number 11.
3) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11
4) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers. 6+5 = 11
5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known. 9 + 1+ 1 = 11
6) The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911. 9 + 1 + 1 = 11. Sheer coincidence..?!
Read on and make up your own mind:
1) The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254. 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.
2) September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year. Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.
3) The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/2004. 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11.
4) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers incident. Sheer coincidence..?! Read on and make up your own mind: Now this is where things get totally eerie: The most recognised symbol for the US, after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamic holy book: "For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace." That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran. Still uncovinced about all of this..?! Try this and see how you feel afterwards, it made my hair stand on end: Open Microsoft Word and do the following

(TRY THIS FOR REAL)
1. Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers.
2. Highlight the Q33 N
3. Change the font size to 48.
4. Change the actual font to the WINGDINGS 1 scary huh??

I received the following in an e-mail. Instead of just forwarding it on to all in my address book I figured there was a better way to get the word out there. So here it is:

Could we each buy at least one thing at Sears this year?

How does Sears treat its employees who are called up for military duty? By law, they are required to hold their jobs open and available, but nothing more. Usually, people take a big pay cut and lose benefits as a result of being called up...

Sears is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all called up reservist employees for up to two years.

I submit that Sears is an exemplary corporate citizen and should be recognized for its contribution.

Suggest we all shop at Sears, and be sure to find a manager to tell them why we are there so the company gets the positive reinforcement it well deserves.

Pass it on.

Decided to check this before I sent it forward. So I sent the following e-mail to the Sears Customer Service Department:

Received this e-mail and I would like to know if it is true. If it is, the Internet may have just become one very good source of advertisement for your company. I know I would go out of my way to buy products from Sears instead of another store for a like item, even if it's cheaper at that store.

This is their answer to my e-mail:

Dear Customer:

Thank you for contacting Sears. The information is factual. We a ppreciate your positive feedback.

Sears regards service to our country as one of greatest sacrifices our young men and women can make. We are happy to do our part to lessen the burden they bear at this time.

Bill Thorn
Sears Customer Care
webcenter@sears.com
1-800-349-4358

Please pass this on to all your friends. Sears needs to be recognized for this outstanding contribution and we need to show them as Americans, we do appreciate what they are doing for our military!!!

About Me

Name: Audi
Home: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States
About Me: I was born in Colorado. Lived in Greeley until 2001 and moved to Oklahoma (yes of all places.) I tell people that my car broke down here and I haven't gotten the money to get it fixed. People actually believe me. I miss home but going there every once in a while cures me of that and reminds me of why I left. Though most of my good friends are still there. With the exception of one. She also thought leaving would be a great idea. Though why she left for Washington State is beyond me. Love yah Megs. I also have two wonderful children and a husband that could be counted as a third but I love him too. With them, work and life I just can't seem to keep up, though some how I seem to do a pretty good job at it.
