1. Grab the nearest book (of at least 123 pages). 2. Open book to page 123. 3. Find the fifth sentence (grab next nearest book if fewer than seven sentences found). 4. Post the text of the next three sentences on your blog along with these instructions. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest. 5. Tag three people.

Six Flags over Elich Gardens |
We went to Eliches also while we were there. I can remember going when I was younger and it being so much better. It just hasn't been the same since they moved it. I understand that they needed more room for more attractions but they seem to have the about the same about of stuff in a bigger area and it just sucks now. I want the old one back. For those of you who are familiar with it did you know Six Flags is selling it now. I find that interesting.

That What That Was |
Till about age nine I lived in a small little town outside Greeley, Colorado. All most everytime we had to "come to town" to do what ever we needed to do. There was this guy that we drove by. Me and my sister always wondered what this statue guy was and why he was there. Well I figured out what it was but still am at a loss for why is where it is. I found this info out by going to Road Side America where they have all of the information below.
How to Identify a Muffler Man Avoid the social embarrassment of incorrectly categorizing a muffler man sighting by studying his simple features and variations:
Note: Muffler Men are NOT the 4-6 ft. tall welded sculptures made of discarded car parts at repair shops!
Physical Characteristics Material: Fiberglass. Knock on his leg to see if he's hollow. Height: From bottom of shoe to top of head or hat, between 18-25 ft. tall Head: Well-chiseled facial bones, prominent brow and squarish "lantern" jaw. Crack a beer bottle over this guy's noggin and he wouldn't be fazed. Eyes may appear to stare blankly into the middle distance, or may be painted to leer down at visitors. Exceptions: Halfwits and Indians Torso: Broad-shoulders, and familiar design of fake shirt folds. Pockets, suspenders, shirt patterns sometimes painted on. Exceptions: Indian models often barechested. Arms: Short-sleeved shirt, well-articulated veins bulge on forearms. Bent at elbow, left palm faces down, right palm faces up -- with an open grasp to hold an ax, muffler, golf club, etc. Shoes and legs: Big, blocky shoes measure about 4-ft. from heel to toe. Pants exhibit familiar pattern of folds and creases.
Basic Types The Classic Gas Station Attendant, Golfer, Hamburger Man, Cowboy
Configured with all the basic characteristics, standing 21-22 ft. tall. While shipped clean-shaven, may be customized with a painted mustache or even a beard -- sometimes in the style of the Bunyan model. The Cowboy version of the classic always features a removable Stetson.
Bunyan Lumberjack, Woodsman
Configured with most of the basic characteristics, standing 20 ft. tall. The Bunyan probably existed before the Classic. Distinguishing features include a head with a molded wool cap, and a heavy beard. Bunyans are frequently sighted brandishing single or double-sided axes. Shirt may be painted in a red plaid pattern. There is somewhat shorter variation of the Bunyan that wears a hard hat or miner's helmet.
Indian Noble Savage, the Big Chief, or the Brave
Shoes and legs are often the same, but other characteristics of the Indian are further removed from purebred M-Man lineage. The head and arm configuration differ, except in cases where May don a single "Brave" feather or full "Chief" headdress. This category is confused by instances of Classics that have been modified to appear as Indians.

Happy Halfwit Mortimer Snerd, Alfred E. Neumann, S.F.B., Country Bumpkin
The gap-toothed, jug-eared Happy Halfwit is comedy relief among otherwise stern looking M-Men types. This strain shares the M-Man's molded torso/arms and legs/shoes. Sports a straw hat or baseball cap. Original Halfwits were sold in heights as tall as 21 ft. Many of today's survivors are a shorter, neckless variety, closer to 15-18 ft.

Not Really Muffler Men While not classified as Muffler Men, other roadside fiberglass humanoids are still of interest:

There baack |
My kids are going back to school today. I'm so excited I get to go back to a "normal" sleep schedule. No more being awakened by two screaming kids who are fighting and hitting each other. WOO HOO. Okay it was nice having them home but honestly I didn't spend as much time with them as I would have liked to. |

Renaissance Festival |
We went to the Renaissance Festival in Larksburg, Colorado during our vacation. It was fun but we were rained on the whole time. We were cold and wet. Though if you ever get to go you have got to go see Puke and Snot. They are freekin' hilarious. Though I can tell you they may not be appropriate for young children. Just and FYI on that.

Metal Sculptures |
Okay I apologize to everyone in blogger land that reads this blog. I know I promised to post more pictures from my vacation but I honestly was a complete and total blonde and was trying to figure our photobucket film loop thingy. I had some problems but I have finally figured it out and will be photo posting happy today. I hope to get them all post in individual posts tonight because work is really creepy quiet tonight. I hate those kind of nights.
Okay enough babbling. These pics are of a bunch of sculptures that a local farmer made in his spare time. The are really neat in person. Hope you enjoy. My favorite ones are the fishing guy and the man with the fly swatter.

Okay I know this is like 4 or 5 minutes long but I laughed really hard at this. I admit though that is was like at 6 in the morning after only getting less than three hours of sleep but it is still freakin' funny.

Why Me |
Okay I am a true spaz. I always seem to trip over my own two feet or stumble on that HUGE toy in the living room. In my spazziness* I always hurt myself in some shape or form. A bruise here, a scratch there. Well this time I strained my ankle, again. Yes I said again. I can't seem to not hurt my poor ankles. They just do not like me. So everyone out there this weekend I will be hobbling around for you to giggle at me. Enjoy!!!!
